Hello all! As a mod of this board, I might as well create the rules that go along with it. Other mods can feel free to edit away.
Basics:
-Threads will never be deleted. They'll only be moved into their appropriate 'Judged Standard Shows' or 'Judged Express Shows' boards to serve as an archive.
-The amount of entries are determined by the show's host/judge (1-5)
-The maximum entries for a show are fifteen, that is, a total of fifteen
*Due to the low number of active members on this forum, please feel free to judge a show with less than fifteen entries but please remember to state the number at which you will judge in the subject title*
-Hexed petz ARE welcome in shows unless stated otherwise by the judge
-Entries will be judged by Standard/Dali/GSD poses unless stated otherwise by the judge
-Entries shall be clothes-free (e.i., no collars, no shirts) unless stated otherwise by the judge
- No inappropriate call name or show names allowed.
-All Entries MUST be in the preferred .png or .gif format. NO JPEG.
-You may only run one type of show at a time (ex: one Standard Cat Show and one Express Dog Show)
-Shows must be judged within twenty-four hours of becoming full. If not judged in this allotted time period, another judge will be found
-Judge must post the rules/their rules onto each of their show threads and must state the prize (if applicable)
-Participants will receive standard show points (BIS, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and HM). Graphic Awards MUST be awarded by the judge to participant winners in a Standard Show. Graphic Awards may be awarded by the judge of an Express Show if they wish to do so. Standard Show Graphic Awards are MANDATORY. Express Show Graphic Awards are OPTIONAL.
-To follow up on Standard Show Points:
Best In Show (BIS)...........5 points
1st Place.........................4 points
2nd Place........................3 points
3rd Place........................2 points
Honorable Mention (HM)....1 point
Titles System:
-One can add up all of his/her pet's Standard Show Points to find out if their pet has obtained the right to a title! Titles (and their point values) go as follows:
Supreme Grand Champion (SGCh).....30 points
Master Grand Champion (MGCh)........20 points
Grand Champion (GCh)....................15 points
Champion (Ch)...............................10 points
Reserved Champion (RCh or Rc).........5 points
There are titles above these, but most people retire their pet after it has achieved the Supreme Grand Champion title.
Participant Form:
-Judges can dictate this to their liking, but the *required* information is as follows:
Show Name:
Call Name:
Subject Title:
A subject title must have the following:
~Type of Show, ex: Express or Standard (Please post to correct board!)
~Your Name/Prefix
~Show Number, ex: 1 (symbolizing a first-time judge)
~Number of Total Entries, ex: [0/15]
~Status (Open, Full/Closed, or Judged
A complete example would be:
Kero's Express Dog Show 1 [0/15] OPEN
Once the show fills up, it turns into:
Kero's Express Dog Show 1 [15/15] FULL or CLOSED
Once it is judged, the subject title will become:
Kero's Express Dog Show 1 [15/15] JUDGED
and will promptly be moved into the appropriate Judged board.
- We do NOT use Message Icon symbols in our Showing Arena. Please do NOT change your shows' Message Icon from the default.
Suspects of Cheating:
Cheating is NOT tolerated in any way. Violators will receive a warning of 25% for each offense and a title below their username of 'Show Cheater' if their dishonest behavior continues. Offenders may be banned permanently from this forum.
-Cheating is classified by editing a picture in any way or stealing an image such as follows:
~Flipping an image so the pet is facing the correct way
~Erasing objects that got into the shot, e.i., toys, clothes
~Transparent backgrounds
~Fixing the legs to a correct stance by pasting correct legs onto an image or erasing the imperfections
~Entering someone else's pet into a show
~Stealing someone else's pet's photograph and entering it into a show
Most judges are able to tell the difference between an edited and an unedited image. The Mods of the show boards are on the lookout for cheaters as well.
Under strict circumstances, watermarks are not allowed. Adding a watermark to an image may distort the image in some cases or result in a person to shave off a few extra pixels here and there. Entries with watermarks may not be judged.
-If you suspect someone of cheating in one of your shows, you may refuse to judge them and report them to a show Mod. You may also decline them the right of entering in one of your shows again.
